Burger-Licious (Guilt Free)...........

Morningstar Farms vegetarian products are a staple in my kitchen. As a "part-time"vegetarian, I depend on them for a significant part of my protein intake. Morningstar Farms Garden Veggie Patties are one of my favorites.

Being a BzzAgent, I received a sample and coupons for Morningstar Farms products.

Morningstar Farms Garden Veggie Patties are made from textured vegetable protein, which is combined with vegetables like mushrooms, water chestnuts, onions, carrots, green bell peppers, red bell peppers and black olives to make a very tasty and healthful burger patty. I can practically get a full serving of veggies just by eating one of these burgers. Since I usually don't have much time to prepare dinner, I use them to make burgers every Monday night. They're quick and easy to prepare, and are far superior to anything I could make from scratch.
They're also very low calorie. They have only 110 calories, and 3.5 grams of fat per patty. They have a full ten grams of protein, and are also high in potassium and dietary fiber. The sodium is 350 mg per patty, however, so you'll definitely want to limit yourself to one.
They're very versatile. They can be microwaved, but they usually taste better when sauteed in a frying pan or even grilled I've also prepared these patties like salisbury steaks, with gravy, mashed potatoes and lots of non-starchy vegetables. This method of preparation is a nice change of pace from burgers. You can also slice them or crumble them up to use in recipes.  Morningstar Farms products are wrapped in twos, so you'll need to put the other burger in a plastic bag if you use only one.
I like to make my own buns to go with these patties. However, when I don't have time to bake my own hamburger buns, I usually purchase e 100% Whole Wheat Sandwich Buns, mainly because they're smaller than regular buns, and therefore lower in calories.
Morningstar Farms Garden Veggie Patties are a quality product, and an excellent part of a healthy vegetarian diet......even if it is just "part time"  :)

Hearty coffee.........with a healthy twist!

As you know, coffee is my favorite.  And my Keurig K-Cup brewer is my new best friend.  Having said that, I'm always on the look out for new and different K-Cps to try,

Being a BzzAgent, I received samples of the new Green Mountain Wellness Collection.  These combine a delicious up of coffee with a boost of either antioxidants of focus.

First, the taste.  Both have a rich, full bodied coffee flavor, with no aftertaste or notice that their are "special" attributes to them.  The focus blend contains L-Theanine, known to healthfully contribute ones concentration and attention.  The antioxidant blend contains  Vitamins C & E, perfect for the winter months to keep your body in top shape.  That makes it really convenient ...not having to take a supplement, it's already in a great cup of coffee.  The Focus blend  git me ready to go, especially first thing in the morning.  Nothing says hazy like a computer monitor when you first awake, that was erased.  I was focused and alert, ready to take ont he day!

In addition:

  • Launched in September 2012 with two brews — Focus Blend and Antioxidant Blend
  • Focus Blend contains 50mg of L-Theanine per serving
  • Antioxidant Blend is a good source of antioxidant vitamins C and E
  • Includes only Fair Trade Certified coffees
  • Is available for purchase online at GreenMountainCoffee.com/Wellness and Keurig.com

These coffee will NOT disappoint!  Delicious hearty coffee with a healthy twist.  Highly, highly recommended!

A "Pre-Thanksgiving" Soiree

A "Pre-Thanksgiving" Soiree

The best thing about the Holidays is being able to spend time with those who are near and dear to you, and what a better way to do that, than a tasting event, featuring Private Selection products!

Being a BZZ Agent, I received samples of the Private Selection coffee and crackers,a long with coupons for free olives, cheese and other items.  This time, I stuck with the olives and cheese, perfect for a hungry crew!

Needless to say, the appetizers were gone in a very short time.  My guests wanted to know where I had gotten these, I told them at our local Smith's store and proudly proclaimed Private Selection!  The were impressed and surprised.  I let them know that PS carries a wide variety of products that would take care of any discerning crowd.  Then, I passed out the coupons that came along with the kit.  Coupons always help, and this crowd ate them up as fast as they did the olives, cheese and crackers!

If you're looking for high quality, gourmet items....the Private Selection brand will not disappoint.  Just make sure you have enough on hand, because they will be devoured QUICKLY!.

AS much as I loved having guests over for this Pre-Thanksgiving soiree, I was even happier that I had happy guests who left with a new brand to consider and full stomachs.  Hopefully, when I visit their homes for the Holiday's, they'll have a wide selection of PS products for me!

All dog food is NOT created equal!

Most folks think that all dog food is the same, nothing could be firther fromt he truth. And, if you want to take care of your pooch right, Eukanuba is THE brand for you.

I've always known that serving high quality dog food can result in a happy, healthy dog. But, after trying Eukanuba brand (I'm a BzzAgent and received samples or coupons) I see now that this IS the highest qulaity dog food on the market.

My pooch Duke is used to a pretty finicky diet (using a different brand), but after one bowl of Eukanuba with with 3D DentaDefense™, he was convinced. He woofed the entire bowl down in one fell swoop! In addition, I noticed an increased "pep in his step". He wanted to play, be outside and run around, AND was waiting patiently at the pantry door for the next bowl. Now, that's a true sign that he wanted MORE!

If you love your dog as much as I do, serve him ONLY the best....and that is Eukanuba. You and your pet will be happy. And, a happy pet makes for the best buddy you can ask for.

When I purchase t-shirts and socks, the main thing I look for is quality. Quality products=products that last. So, this Bzzz Agent (I'm a BzzAgent and I received samples or coupons) was right up my alley.

THE Transformation!

Take an ordinary room and use the best paint out there.....Benjamin Moore Aura. What's left? THE Transformation! ( I'm a BzzAgent and received samples or coupons).

Gathered a group of co-workers in the lunchroom. I had before and after photos of my completed room and a color sample of the shade I chose. Many folks are interested in painting this time of the year, especially for the Holidays. I let everyone know (and most do know that I am quite handy around the house), that this was by far the BEST paint I have ever used. Told them about the low odor, one coat coverage and the ease of clean up. I even had some directions to the local Benjamin Moore store, and most took it! It's easy to talk up and discuss a product that you truly believe in, and AURA paint is one I can definitely vouch for.

Here's How To Transform.

Tasty Convienence!

After receiving My BzzzKit and finding the Perdue Oven Ready Turkey Roast, i couldn't wait to invite over firends to give it a try. I invited 4 forends over for a 'Post-Thanksgiving" feast. As my guests entered, they could smell the aroma of the roast in the oven, filling the house with the smell of a fresh baked turkey. I didn't tell them that the roast was a perdue Oven Ready, just that we were having turkey. Along with mashed potatoes, gravy, macaroni and cheese, stuffing and cranberry sauce, the roast was served. Every one of my guests commented on the flavor, moistness and fresh baked turkey flavor. Not a bit was left over, seconds were served and it was completely gone! After dinner was served, i showed them the package that the roast came in, they were, to put it mildly.....shocked! I told them about this new product and the ease of preparation. THEN, I passed out the coupons that were sent along with the kit. ALL of them said they were going to try it. Not only did I have 4 happy guests that evening, I knew that they left enjoying one of the BEST, easiest meals I had ever made.

high gas prices? blame it on the seniors

LAKELAND, Fla. - A 70-year-old man has been charged with grand theft after police watched him siphon off more than 900 gallons of gasoline from underground storage tanks at two gas stations, the Polk County authorities said Wednesday.

Deputies witnessed Hobert Gibson steal gasoline from two stations Tuesday, but sheriff officials believe he did this on a daily basis since at least January. The two gas stations he hit that day were about 40 miles from his Winter Haven home, and police believe it was typical for Gibson to visit a few stations per day across a wide geographical area. He is believed to have sold the stolen gasoline, which he stored at his towing company.

squirrel ignites car

It's Rocky the Frying Squirrel!

A kamikaze squirrel fell from the sky and detonated a Bayonne woman's car yesterday, police said today.

Lindsey Millar, 23, and her brother, Tony, 22, were both home Wednesday at about 12:45 p.m. when Lindsey's car suddenly started burning outside their 42nd Street home.

Tony Millar said firefighters told them it was the work of a buck-toothed saboteur that had been gnawing on overhead power lines connected to a transformer directly above the 2006 Toyota Camry.

"The squirrel chewed through the wire, was set on fire, fell down directly to where the car was," Tony Millar said. "The squirrel, on fire, slid into the engine compartment and blew up the car."They're always coming around here, chewing through the garbage," he added.
Tony Millar says his sister was fully insured.

"It's something to laugh about once she has a new car," he said. "It's not funny yet."Police said there were no injuries -- except for the squirrel, that is, which is dead.

The Millars' home is decorated for Halloween, complete with a tiny plastic tombstone on their front lawn. Tony Millar said the family will consider dedicating the tombstone to the squirrel, who was not named.
